“Hikoi Mō Te Tiriti” - Open Edition Fine Art Print 

This piece embodies the spirit of mana and kotahitanga, honoring our tūpuna while focusing on the future of our mokopuna. Drawing inspiration from the Toitū te Tiriti movement and hikoi across Aotearoa, josh wanted to capture the overflowing wairua and immense joy, pride, and unity felt during local and national activations. 

“This work reflects a cheeky spirit taken from protest signs and banners, evoking a sense of humour that would resonate with our Tūpuna. If you grew up around our old people you know they have a wicked sense of humour”. 

Amid the challenges we face, it symbolises our resilience and solidarity with our allies to be seen, to be heard, and to never back down against those who seek to divide us and our rights.
